Glenn has been involved in Wheelchair Tennis since the late 1980’s and has been New Zealand’s number 1 singles and doubles player for the majority of this time. He has competed at the highest level on the I.T.F Tour and plays a quality attacking style of tennis.
Glenn has been an elite New Zealand player and has attended almost all World Cup Team events that New Zealand Teams have competed in since 1991. His achievements have also included selection in the New Zealand team for the 1992 Barcelona and 2004 Athens Paralympic Games.
Glenn has also assisted in the development of other Wheelchair Tennis players, through his work with Canterbury and New Zealand Wheelchair Tennis. He has volunteered his time to coach and practice with other players, hoping to develop the depth of players in New Zealand.
Glenn says that "playing Wheelchair Tennis has provided me with the self-esteem and the skills needed to handle life after my accident (motor vehicle). In essence it is about my attitude to overcome failure. My tennis intelligence and experience is allowing me to make better decisions and improve my abilities even further".
